Well, That Was Quite A Week For Me & Fool Her Once

It was launch day for Fool Her Once on Tuesday, March 1.  Yipee! Still, no hardcover copies at that point, but just after midnight, I was able to download the e-book edition from Amazon. A little later that morning, I found my pre-ordered audiobook on the Audible app on my iPhone.

Mostly though I spent the morning, tweeting (as above) and instagramming to alert readers that FHO was now launched and out in the world.

Then, I went to a laid-back, low-key launch lunch with hubby, Joe.

I returned home to find a Book Birthday card and gift from my New York bestie, Judy.

Two days later, on Thursday, a lovely review of Fool Her Once appeared in the Southampton Press and all the editions of the Express News Group which cover the entire South Fork of Long Island.  The review by Joan Baum described my thriller as taking “twist-and-turn to a dizzying level.”

Ms. Baum obviously read the entire book including the Author Q & A at the end of the story where I answered a question about “real life models for my characters.” Her comment on my reply made me laugh out loud. You can read the full review here.

Just as an added bonus, all my author hardcover copies (above) arrived later that afternoon.

Tonight I’m off to speak at a writers’ conference in California (by Zoom, of course!) I’ll be on a panel with fellow CamCat authors speaking about deception.

And, next Saturday, it’s the Palm Beach Book Festival, the most enjoyable event, in my opinion, on the Palm Beach social calendar.

At least, it’ll give me the opportunity to write about authors — and books, other than my own !
