I’m still a little shell-shocked by the early praise for Fool Her Once. Just last week, Publishers Weekly (the bible of the publishing industry) featured my new thriller as a “notable” new release for Spring 2022. Continue reading “Off To A Good Start: Early Praise For Fool Her Once”

Are You A Writer? English Author Says No If You Don’t Make A Living As One
Just last week, an article from England landed in my inbox. I was struck immediately by the author’s view as to who should and who should not call him/herself a writer.
It’s a thought-provoking article because it is quite contrary to the generally held view here, in the US, that almost anyone who writes or attempts to write anything is a writer. Or, as one of my favorite author-bloggers, Anne R. Allen, states in this post: “If you go off by yourself at regular intervals to create stuff using words, you’re a writer.” Continue reading “Are You A Writer? Memories of A Sunnier Fall On The North Fork
There were snow flurries at the weekend on the East End of Long Island. So, a good time, I think, to recall some of the sunnier Fall days on the North Fork, the main setting for my new thriller, Fool Her Once.

What does the title mean? (See below) Continue reading “What’s In A Book Title? Choosing The Perfect One For Your Thriller”
What’s Happening With My New Thriller, Fool Her Once? An Update
If anyone thinks that for an author all the hard work stops when you’ve turned in your edits and revisions, think again. I was done with final edits and revisions of Fool Her Once by the end of July. I was ready to relax and enjoy the rest of the summer.
Not so fast. Suddenly there was a whole new set of tasks for me: A slew of sample covers to review; audio samples from which to pick a narrator for the audiobook version of Fool Her Once. Then, there were copy edits to review and page proofs to look through (Twice.) And, acknowledgments to write, and a Q&A with the author (me) to add to the back of the book. Oh, and how about some topics for book club discussions to add into the mix? Continue reading “What’s Happening With My New Thriller, Fool Her Once? An Update”
